Dang, I was in Boston during the summer.  I couldn't hook up w/ LB, but he did say something like "for a good time, call Amber"...

Bump for new guildies :)

Caohmin

Man, I went all the way back to October looking for this thread in the wrong forum. Stupid web board.

Axecleaver

There's a link to it from the vengeance web page too

Hahaha, let me just get this out of my system. Axe, you are one of the greatest leaders I've known... But when you post messages and i see the "The Tick" icon under your name, I can never take you seriously ^^

Lifesbane

amber is an even bigger newb, thats The Tick's sidekick ;)

Axecleaver

Nobody takes me seriously. That's part of The Plan.

Im wondering how Greifing sits with out play nice policy?? I have seen in posts and guild chat a number of members boast of doing this of late.

It would seem to me that this is about as far from nice play as the guild rules define it as is possible.

Greifing is so far as i understand it the killing of players so that they suffer an experience loss, something which serves no purpose other than to upset/give someone a bad day.

When someone says they have greifed someone that is the context I understand it to be.

Caohmin

I disagree. That's not grief play at all. If someone is in a zone where pvp is possible, they assume all risks. An exp-loss death is one of those risks. There are plenty of places to safely exp.

Lifesbane

personally i kill any hib or mid, if posible ill try to avoid giving them xp deaths, but if it happens thats just a little longer untill their out in emain destroying me. i used to camp uppland and the gorge a lot untill i got too fed up with my damn class. i agree with caoh, theres plenty of safe places to XP...its a risk they take on the frontier or in DF

edit: if its a chanter i specificly try to xp death them...if i could grief every damn chanter in the game i would...repeatedly

Well, i try to avoid XP deaths if at all possible... I know how i have felt when it was done to me and wouldn't want to make someone else feel the same way.

If it is a person that has done it too me in the past and i see them i will kill them then and get revenge. If it is an enemy that has made rude motions etc... I will probably not care about giving them XP death either.

Kirin

with all thats been going on on our server, when im out in Rvr, its me vs them, spare no one.. If i see a greybie exping out in Uppland, i wont kill him to provoke an exp death, cause i know if i wait a few more secs i can avoid that. If govers a bunch of high 40s are exping in DF, ill kill them, wether it gives an exp death or not, thats not important to me. Everyone exping out in DF or the frontier is taking a risk. Ill give greybies sympathy cause 10 steps out their gates in Upp isint quite "dangerous", but ill still kill them. Rvr is Rvr, and its not about the rps. The point is then you click on any mid or hib what does it say?
you see XXXX He is a member of an enemy realm!!
enemy means kill in my books..
i was in upp once and i came up against a grey skald exping. i /waved, /danced, and he danced back.. then i unstealthed and /danced and sat down. He stun shouted me and ran back to gates, and came back 5 secs later with 3 yellow cons who tore me apart. his stun that only lasts 20 seconds got me killed. So, spare no one, its a battlefield
