It's funny how the chanter TL dosen't know the difference between Concentration and MoC.

It's gonna be funny to see what they do with Focus Shields and debuffs... They can't move the Focus Shield to Enchantments line since it'll give the pet perma red buffs + heal procs on their armor, they also can't move it to light, i mean, come on. Debuffs are up in the air, no one knows what's gonna happen with them until we know how mythic is changing the resist system.

But if you look through Mythic's answers... They do hint alot of things.

Easiest way to nerf focus is to just severely reduce its effectiveness on > orange con mobs. It'll still be useful for soloing, but won't allow the chanter pet to become the super-aggro "main tank" of a group pulling linked purples.

It's good to hear the PBAE + Heat debuffed baseline nuke madness is finally getting looked at. I can't believe mythic has let it slide for this long; totally inexcusable.

Also good to see an RA review is in the works. Midgard has the crappiest unique RAs that no one ever uses(there's only 1 group-based RA and it's broken) while Albion depends almost totally on theirs. Once these get balanced out, I think you could see some real Alb loving on the way.

I'm also happy to see the MoC + PBAE combo has a (slim) chance of being nerfed. I can't tell you the number of times my zerker died to this; the only real counter was to look for the animation then run like hell and pop IP. Then I had to hope the chanter was stupid enough  to just stand there and continue spamming PBAE till MoC was down (a few of them even tried chasing me) but the smart ones would just heat debuff + nuke + nuke which there was nothing I could really do about.

All around, I'd say good changes to come (for everyone not playing a chanter).

Lifesbane

definetly looks like theres good changes to come. also, its nice to see that the TL's are working for balence and not just trying to make their class ubah.

Masta

You should have seen what the chanter TL before this one wanted done for the chanter class... He wanted them nerfed into the ground, and he came up with THE most stupidest ideas. No one liked him, and he eventually quit a few weeks ago. This new TL is alot better, altho, i wish Tyfud would have gotten TL. I've talked to him and he's a pretty nice guy. He rerolled a BM so i doubt he would make an effective TL, i wouldn't be surprised if he turned it down actually.

Masta

Hehe nvm.

Tyfud just became the new chanter TL...
Right as his BM dinged 50 :P

I read that report, Im assuming its the mythic person who replied and mistook Concentration for MOC. It seemed to be the TL who was in the non italics. This didnt seem like a bad report i thought, nerf enchanters i say.

Masta

Mid tanks can easily hit for 400 - 500, savages pull 1000 base hits with no procs/crits on quads with 3.7 weapons. I think it's fair that chanters get to debuff themselves for 500. Throw in all the RAs tanks get + the description of a caster "Damage from afar" i think it's fine.

Bolldar Bloodaxe

Albion tanks and casters cant come close to doing what a enchanter does, and Middie tanks are way more powerful in any case, enchanters are the most overpowered cloth caster by a long stretch and well overdue for a serious nerf or every other caster needs a huge boost  to catch up with them. Hell they nuke for more than almost any other class and get a pet plus numerous other benefits.  Try playing a wizard sometime who is all about doing damage and doesnt have the multitude of extra skills an enchanter does then come up against and enchanter and find he nukes for about a third more than you can do on your max. Bone dancers could use one too :P they are like a one man army.

"Mid tanks can easily hit for 400 - 500, savages pull 1000 base hits with no procs/crits on quads with 3.7 weapons."

to me that doesnt mean chanters are fine, what it means is Mid tanks need to be toned down aswell

Zutroy

Figure that zerkers, warriors and maybe skalds hitting for 400-500 are using 2 handers, have to land either a positional/reactionary style and have to crit to see those damages.

Chanters will always cap on every nuke and can do it every 1.5 seconds + QC out a PBAE if the tank actually makes it to them. This gives them an unfair advantage over every other caster in the game; I mean why should they be able to nuke as hard as a fire wizard + have PBAE + have a pet? That's like 3 different alb specs all rolled into 1.

No arguement with the savage comments though. Their self buffs need some major nerfage; H2H is already better than LA, why they need self buffs on top of that?

Bolldar Bloodaxe

Ive noticed enchanters repeatedly casting at rates I cant even come close to. I mean casting 4 times in under 2 seconds. Dollan is famous for this, and  your right they seem to cap out their damage a lot.

Yesterday playing persiphony i got hit for 490 twice in  under a second by one caster. Now this happened so fast im unsure what he was other  than being a little short middie guy. Persi is a 44 minstrel so not sure if that effected it. But this guys arms went up boom, and then immediately back up and boom i was dead. I thought maybe instas, but he didnt look like a skald and i didnt think a skald could hit that hard with instas anyway.

I really get the impression that there is a cheat program out there that allows people to cast quicker than the hard cap.

Someone above mentions enchanters casting at 1.5 seconds yet Mythic has consistently said that nothing will take you under the 2 second hard cap for casting and that includes RAs. Yet i seem to see examples of other realm casters doing it all the time. I know I cant on any of my casters. Does a cheat like that exist?

Masta

Playing on Guinevere i come across Tyfud alot, RR10 enchanter... According to him he can cast his heat debuff in 0.88 seconds, and his spec line nuke somewhere between 1.1 - 1.3 seconds. If you ever stood next to him and watch him nuke your jaw would drop.

Find a caster who can nearsight, or cast debuffs.. They're baseline casting time is 2.0.. Give them red dex/qui and baseline dex than watch them cast... There is no 2.0 second hard cap. I know with red dex/qui, baseline dex, and moa3 i can cast nearsight on my brothers RM in about 1s.. Sometimes i can even cast it with air pets on me.. So i'm pretty sure theres no hard cap.

Axecleaver

Therrik, the wizard TL, documented cast times of 0.9 seconds with an enchanter on Pendragon. Luri chanters get +20 dex from race bonuses, another 10 at creation is 90 base. Aug dex 2 gives you 102. Add 92 for spec (194) and 63 for base (257) then 23 from levelling will get you up to 280.

Pile on some MotA and your debuffuing nuke machine is ready for primetime.

Incidentally, clerics can cast their baby heal awful fast, and can beat the interrupts sometimes. I've been able to self-heal (granted only for 150 a pop) while under melee attack.

Zutroy

You forgot +75 from gear too - that'd be 355 total.

Edit - I read somewhere that every 10 points of dex (over 60) is a .1 second decrease in casting time? ...or maybe I'm thinking of quickness with weapon delay?

My Luri chanter is about to hit 50, i'm gonna do some tests with casting times once i get SC'ed and everything, i'm just gonna need some RR's fast so i can copy to pend and have enough for MoA5.
