what is this grapple thing i keep hearing about?

Battlemaster ML 3 ability is "grapple".

What happens is, if you have grapple, you select an enemy, then hit grapple every 2 or 3 seconds. The enemy cannot do anything except cast spells. Can't move, can't purge, can't attack. If you're melee, you're screwed -- there is nothing you can do but wait. If you're a caster, you can still cast just fine (/boggle).

The grappler also cannot do anything except cast spells.

doesn't that one allow you to move the person as well?  i.e. drag them to PBAoE or something?

I think the original intent was for people to 'trade' their dps for an enemy's and thus break up the assist train on their casters. Friars and stealthers can abuse the crap out of it because you can grapple an enemy stealther and have your friend leisurely kill them at 0 risk to yourself.

Friars can wtfpwn stealthers with ease -- beat on them for a while, grapple and heal yourself to full, resume the beatdown.

Not sure if they intended for grapple to let the victim or aggressor cast spells freely while grappling -- that seems a bit bizarre to me.

ive heard a lot of horrer stories about grapple so far...i hear its good for getting enimy MA's and breaking up the assist train too.
