EA Mythic torrent for client DL

I'm having trouble downloading from fileplanet, as the Mythic instructions suggest. Found this link on a torrent site, about 9.5Gb worth of crap (lol).

Right now, it has 207 seeds and 1000 leechers. So it should be a pretty healthy torrent.

Fileplanet download sucks, unless you subscribe.  Can anyone confirm or deny that the open beta client is (almost) the  same as the release client?

Mythic instructions for early access tell you to download the beta client from fileplanet and use that for early access.

i did the fileplanet download, and it took a LONG time.  Oddly, the Windows-based .zip file extractor didn't work properly for me... I had to grab WinZip and then it worked.

Of course, I can't log in yet so I'm not sure that made much of a difference.

According to other beta testers, the open beta client is indeed the same as the release client.

That's cool.  And I suppose it makes sense, since it would take forever to download the client again...not to mention crushing the already-screaming file servers.

Has anyone gotten their game to patch? When I try to login to the patcher I get Authentication Failed. Which may be because I'm not one of the CE people, but I figured I'd check.

I get the same error Axe.  I'm guessing it's because the SE head start hasn't started.  I hear the patch isn't too bad, like 31 MB or something along those lines.

Hmm so we can get the client before launch? Does that mean id be able to get the patched version so that i dont have to install and wait on the 18th?

yes, you can.  i'm not sure if you need a key to get the mythic torrent, but if not then you may as well download it and save some time.

I can confirm no key required for the torrent. You do need to register your keys and set up a login/pwd to patch (or borrow someone's).
