I have been in touch with the following Iseult guilds. Below is their guild name, GM, side, and servername, which I will update as we go.

Huntsmen Gweniver Order Volkmar/Ironfist

Dark Knights of Camelot Luvly Order Volkmar
Revelation Rudeocerous Order Volkmar
Final Revelation Jokerz/Sloth Destr Averheim
Black Dragon Clan Inishmore  Destr Averheim
Venor Ultimus Kruk Order (server announcement kept private)

Brothers in Arms Order Volkmar
Asylum Singing(?) Destr Iron Rock
Ancient's Way Order Iron Rock

Vengeance server: Destruction/Averheim
Order alts: Order/Volkmar

Nari

Do they know something we don't?  It seems like Order is where most of them are going.  Is Destruction going to be FOTM?

Lifesbane

seems like Destruction in more popular at the moment, but i dont know what it'll be like at release. Honestly, if people want to play with those guys i wouldn't be apposed to going Order...whatever people want to do. I'd just need to find another class :)

Axecleaver

It's got me wondering, as well. I think the most popular reasoning I am seeing is the idea that Chaos will be heavily overpopulated and people are worried about login queues an battleground queues. On the other hand, the underpopulated side will get their asses handed to them in world based warfare, which is a big component of Warhammer. It will get old having the enemy in your capital city every day and making some of the pvp content impossible. (Total dominance by one side makes most of the content impossible for everybody, though.)

I'm willing to reconsider sides as long as you guys are cool with it - let's see how the other guilds fall in, too.

Mchagen

Agreed, its still just a tad early to figure everything out.  But it looks like Axe is starting to get it all rolling.

Kirin

I would heavily prefer chaos, but playing whit the guild is  the number 1 priority for me. I think Zhaa and the others would feel the same way too.
If we've got something solid with another few guilds, going underpopulated might not be so bad. Although remember Iseult, where we were basically getting out asses handed in anything large-scale. On an squad-to-squad level we'd still probably do well

Sodom

I'm leaning Chaos, because Greenskins rule. Then again, if we go Order I can play a White Lion. Now THAT was a hell of a hair metal band.

Kirin

Upon consideration, I'm really leaning Chaos. I spoke to Zhaa and he's told me that he's not playing Order. Most of the other dudes from Montreal are a no-go for Order as well, so if we do decided to go Order, lets choose a second server for Chaos alts so we can all coordinate.

Rosslyn

I like lots of folks in those other guilds, but to me the fact that they may be playing Order isn't in and of itself a good enough reason to change up and make the move.

I'd definitely consider playing Chaos on the same server where they're playing Order though... could make for some fun smack talk :)

Nari

I'm cool with whatever, since I don't have a preference for either side.  I imagine I'd enjoy playing the bad guys for a change.  If Chaos is overpopulated, we can always do up an alternate server for some relief.

Axecleaver

Keeping guild folks together is #1 priority, so if Zhaa and others feel very strongly about it we can keep the original plan. I do like the idea of playing Isle of Dead though, will be fun fighting against Iseult folks.

Daksidhe

The guys that were in Vengeance Wow/Dreadless Daoc(Guin-Mid) are split down the middle. Those that lean to Order are mostly due to preferring the prettier toons instead of the more evil looking ones, but we will all follow as a group.

For myself, I'm with Zhaa about Destruction.

Like in DaoC, playing the "evil" toons always felt better when pillaging the enemy, instead of being some poor "good" soldier being punished and sent to the front lines.

Proof of this is in the few words spoken by Conan himself.

Khitan General: We have won again. This is good! But what is best in life?
Khitan Warrior: The open steppe, a fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.
Khitan General: Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!
Khitan General: That is good.

Kirin

Rosslyn

anyone on Ventrilo has heard Kirin lamenting more than one would think is humanly possible... but so far that's been it for the "lamentations of their women" part as far as I'm concerned.

Mookaw

I can confirm that Zhaa and I are firmly in the Destruction camp. We would love to play with the guild though...
