Axelet gave me this over the weekend.

Rosslyn

AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I can just picture her saying that.  Just think, later in life that whole thing will be summed up with a nice quick "F. U., Dad!"

Lifesbane

LMAO. so good.

yep...cherish these times while they last...

Caohmin

Lol! I like the sad face and the black heart. Apparently, she still thinks of you as an amorphous blob, but at least you have distinguishable limbs now.

Axecleaver

The reddish flames of hell in which I'm burning didn't come out that well in the scan, but the black heart is clearly evident.

Rosslyn

and as long as we're on the "heavenly" topic, I thought I'd mention that I managed to pick up a pair of tickets to game 1 of the world series this morning.  yay me!

Caohmin

I'm available to attend.

Pesadilla

im not, wouldnt be worth all the sexual favors Ross would demand.

Kirin

Lol! nice one.. Shell make a good politician

Im going to watch the Habs tomorrow night :D

Rosslyn

sexual favors?!?  with beer prices at the ballpark, I'd just be happy if he paid for that and parking.  I'd probably break even on the deal.

Axecleaver

You're not kidding. When I took my stepdad to see the Redskins/Eagles game last year, it was $170 for two tickets, which I got at face value from a coworker who had season tickets she couldn't use. She threw in a free parking pass worth $25 (season ticket holders are forced to buy parking for each home game). We had eight beers at $6 a piece and a couple hotdogs for $5 each.

It was fun, but $350 fun? Probably not. Ross did you have to pay scalper prices for those or did you get them through some sort of stadium hookup?

PS Axelet is 8 now. She's been drawing me "my daddy is going to hell" pictures since about age 4.

It burns you because you are wicked.

They released tickets for public sale at 10am, and I booted people out of my office at 9:55 so I could beat on the website and hope I got lucky.  It just happened to work.  People were bitching all over town because the site was so swamped and they couldn't get anything to happen for them.

I was actually pretty lucky.  At first I tried to get 4 tickets, thinking that at the very worst I could use two and then the sale of the remaining ones would more than pay for my day at the ballpark.  They didn't have 4 together, so I immediately tried for two, and by then those were all gone as well.  I was pretty bummed and was just going to close the browser and debate whether or not to pay a scalper, but then someone called me.  Since I was trapped at my desk, I figured WTF and I tried one more time.  Evidently someone's credit card got declined or they failed to complete the transaction in two minutes or whatever, and those tickets were thrown back into the pool right as I hit it.  The end result is I paid face value (plus the usual obscene tickmaster convenience, order processing, and anal rape fees).  I think the actual price was $190 each, but I think my final bill is closer to $450 for the pair.  They really aren't too bad, all things considered.  They're back a little bit in the upper deck, but they're right behind the Tigers' dugout, so it'll be a good view.  The great thing is that the game doesn't start until 7:30pm on Saturday, which means my day should go something like this:

10am:  pull into the parking garage for one of the casinos downtown

2pm:  cash in my massive winnings, go someplace to have lunch and watch part of the Michigan/Iowa football game

3pm:  head to one of the 4 zillion bars within walking distance of the ballpark and drink enough so that I won't even be tempted to buy a $9 beer.

7pm:  find my seat, grab a couple of hot dogs

7:15pm  stand in a really long line for a urinal

7:29pm  race back to my seat, $9 beer in hand, hoping I don't miss the first pitch.

Kirin

you forgot:
6:59 Get blown by Caoh for an extra ticket
