SWG Preliminary Verdict: Ghey.

Check this out. A list of promised features that have been postponed to after release. My favorite is the Dark Jedi - the dev's reasons for delay? "we'll likely still be testing the Jedi system at launch." How do you have a Star Wars game without having Jedi PCs fully tested at launch?

Also, the space exploration element of SWG is planned as a future expansion (i.e., go to the store and pay more money for it). If you can't explore space, where do they get off including the words "Star" and "Galaxies" in the title?

Oh, before anyone asks "What MMORPG are you looking forwards to?" - EVE.

Over 1,000 players per "server" (actually a cluster of servers, but effectively the same server in DAOC terms).

A fully realized economic system, with fluctuating markets driven by PC and NPC demand.

No XP grind! Skills are bought with money, which can be earned any number of ways.

Multiple ships per player means characters aren't pidgeonholed into a specific "role" from character creation.

Go, read the faq and the beta tester diaries, and report back with your impressions. The game is set for a March 1 release, and I think I've got Zaius convinced to give it whirl based on Tradewars nostalgia alone. :)

The graphics remind me of halo.  Doesn't seem to bad though even with all the sodom hype. ;)

I don't think you can ever realistically expect an MMORPG to be released with all the features they say is going to go in. Really quite sad this is becoming the norm.

I'm not sure what game I'll be playing in 3 months, but I know for a fact it won't be DAoC.

Malison

If i keep playing DAoC as much as I do, I will be playing "find me a new girlfriend." :)

I'm gonna go play Sims On Line... I hear it's tons of fun!

Reinn played Sims online for a bit, I think.
