So who are all these people paying $2500 on ebay to get one? The only people I see are the ones with time to wait in line for three days to flip it. We had a tent city of about 10-12 people here in Northern Virginia, and one store in Rockville had something like 400 people camped out.

Anybody manage to cash in?

Ast plans on buying one, but i think hes gonna wait a couple of months to see how the Wii faces up... I personally was bitter with the way sonys been handling the whole ps3 thing, but im playing Square-Enix's Final fantasy XII atm on ps2 and its amazing.. gives me a new faith that theyll actually be able to make some pretty kickass games for ps3

have you seen any shots of wii games?  IMHO, the graphics SUCK, at least in comparison w/ the other new consoles.  Granted, the wii is quite a bit less expensive, but to me its quality is somewhere maybe just above a PS2/Xbox (not 360).  for me to buy a wii at this point, there would have to be some exclusive wii-only game that I just  had to play.

i dont think they're making any kiddy-porn games, so that rules that out.

I have a buddy whose gf works at toys r us. According to her, they're getting new shipments of ps3's like every day. It's not like it was with the xbox 360 where they shipped 1/2 a million units the first week and that was it for 3 months. So i don't know why people seem to be so desperate about it.
