DAoC Stats. Covers just about everything that has been "officially" handed down via the grab-bag. I for one would like a similar page done for all the formulae that have been worked out by players doing independant testing.

Axecleaver

There's some inaccurate information on that page, but it's a really good summary of the official word. Sadly, the official word is a lot less reliable than fan stats.

I don't personally believe quality of shield has no effect on blocking chance. I could definitely tell the difference in block rate between Protecter of the Stone Lords (a level 50 shield with +shield on it, 89% qua) and a playermade shield (at the time it was level 46, 99% qua, before spellcrafting). If condition has an effect I suspect quality is multiplied in as well.

An interesting suggestion for block rate that I saw (which sounds reasonable) is that block rate is 1% per 10 dex over 60... for Axecleaver, I have a base chance to block of:

base 5%
50 trains 25%
272 dex 21.2%
Mastery2 6%
---
58.2% base chance

If MP quality, 100% condition or 35% bonus affect anything, throw that in there. I know that chance to block is doubled against archers; and I know that I am invulnerable to arrows.

Glanowyn

What is the bonus% on the Prot of Stone Lizzords?

That could make a pretty big difference if its not 35%

Melissima wants to be Uber like you Axe!

Now if I can just make sure she has a group every day of her career :)

15 pts from the cap for Thidranki, wonder if i can rely on pickup squads...ewww!

Axecleaver

Mm good point Glanowyn -- it's 25% vs 35%. hm... I do have a 99% shield I use to PvE, I could test blockrates of 99 vs 100 I guess, but the difference would likely be very small anyway.

Malison you just need to cap out so we can all level our twinks together again.
