As of 1.62, if you put your pet on aggressive, it will attack and unstealth anyone within roughly 1000 units. So at the milegates, turn pets aggressive and run around randomly.

I have not noticed this, and it wasn't working this way on pendragon AFTER patch 1.62L or so. I think they maybe forgot to put some of the changes in, or broke something.

I had it happen to me yesterday in BGs with a hunter pet which attacked me repeatedly without uncovering me but lead its master straight to me so he could. Sounds kind of like a bug to me but gives hunters a big advantage.

if i can target a stealther before it stealths, my pet can uncover the stealther by attacking it. I've never really put my pets on aggressive, ill have to check it out

"This has been tested and pets do NOT break stealth (well at least sorc pets). If set on aggressive mode and the stealthed target ghost is "seen" by the player, the pet will attack. This is a far cry from the misinformation being spread. Pre patch I would run around spamming F8 with my finger on the pet attack button. Stealth is not perfect occasionaly your ghost will be seen if you get close enough. When F8 gets the target, you have a second to hit attack with the pet (or an insta-spell for that matter). The pet will then attack. The only difference is now you don't have to manually hit the attack button when the pet is aggressive. You can't just drag pets around and have them pop-stealth for you. The ghost must be observed."

i mentioned this over /gu, but this is so not true.  I tested it out on an enemy kobold the other day. I ran over his area a few times with my pet on aggressive, and uncovered his shadow. Not once did the pet attack.  Which is probably good, since he was actually trying to help and warn me and Laryssa that there was an army at m1 and we needed to go back.

The only way a pet would see through stealth as far as i can tell is to have the owner target /attack , or for the stealther or his group to aggro the owner or pet.
