yeah, that fkn sucked.  If it weren't for Eddie Drummond's kick return and Roy Williams making the Eagles' secondary look bad, it would have been boring.  On the bright side, I got my beer bought for me the whole game, so that wasn't too bad.  Traffic was hell leaving the stadium though, even worse than usual.  Oh well, I'll bet the house that the Lions don't lose next week.

yep, next week is bye week.  They should get Dre Bly back after that, and hopefully a couple of the players who left the game today will be better by then.  There's also a slim chance that the coaching staff will come up with some 3rd-and-10 plays that don't involve 7 yard pass patterns, but I'm not holding my breath.

that sucked badly.  In my "good" fantasy football league, I surpassed the old weekly scoring record by 5  points, largely on the strength of Favre's performance (plus the rest of my team all had consistently good, if not great, performances).  Unfortunately, my opponent this week surpassed the old scoring record by 10 points, mainly because he had Javon Walker.  If they had left Favre in for that last series (instead of putting in Pederson), it's likely that I would have gotten at least those five points.  It didn't help that my main running back (Shaun Alexander) was sat for the fourth quarter of his game because the Seahawks were pounding San Fran so badly.  Oh well, it was definitely fun to watch if you like Swiss cheese defense.

That game did suck - that's now 2 games in a row where the cowboys won but looked terrible while doing it. Parcells may be a football genius but I dunno where that team is going with a 42 year old QB and several 30+ year old starters.
