We got the outer door upgraded to 7, the inner to 6. We used elmwood to level 6, then oak, so we did it the absolute cheapest way we could have. Lots of trips, but less money to use the cheaper wood. Even still, I spent about 700g there this weekend. Over half that money went to repairing our level 7 door after some yahoo mids thought they'd try to ram it down. We took their punk asses out though.
Then Gueuze was up checking the doors... Rush had rolled by pretty recently and messaged me that "it's a shame to put up such nice doors and leave this place undefended..." heh... and some punk hibs came by to beat on the doors. They forgot siege, though, so most of them couldn't have been doing much damage. They were on the doors for like 45 minutes before Noules rolled by to wipe them out, and they were only able to do about 25% damage to it. Sigh.. but that's 5 repairs @ 2k oak per repair, or about 42g per repair. Another 200g down the tubes on wood.
Oh, the sacrifices we make for NoreenLand!
But seriously, owning Benowyc has been a great time. I logged there last night after the relic thing, and I'm planning to hang out there and craft a little. Doubtless the mids will be back to take it in a futile attempt to pressure us to go on the defensive. Fortunately we have nothing left to lose... so we'll stand with Lord Benowyc til they pry the gate keys from our cold, dead fingers.
What's that about? Noreenland???

It's a hassle but well worth it. Old sounds sux0rs. Especially the minstrel sounds.
