As I was sitting around last night killing ellyll villagers by myself (and wondering how in the hell I was going to kill Saffron solo without a few Tegs kicking my butt), I thought it might be a good idea to see who needs to do these one time drop quests and try to get a few quick groups together to bang out the tough parts. I know we've discussed this before, but maybe this would fit in with our PL/XP/RvR evenings if nothing else is going on. Who knows, maybe a few people ganging up on a cockatrice or a demon would lead to a decent XP group or the start of a nice RvR crew.
For the record, I'd like to kill Saffron so that I can give the uber cleric helm to my alt. If anyone else is interested in this, I'll be happy to help you kill ellylls until you move on to the part about killing Saffron.

Oddly enough, when I logged on yesterday, I had the intention of hunting ellyls and Ravenclan Giants for drops. Thankfully, the Hibs and Mids provided some of the best entertainment I've ever had in this game.
Two things I learned yesterday:
1) The Hibs are not as beaten down as I thought.
2) Over the course of a long raid, if you're not careful, you can drink entirely too much.
that spawn is super hard to find. i've talked to people that have spent 3 or 4 hours in the area and found nothing. Then there's the ones that find it in 10 minutes. Either way i'll be glad to help, just give me a tell.
Most of us are willing to help when called, but I think Ross is suggesting we work it into Wednesday Whatever Night. That's a good plan -- Wednesdays are good for powerlevelling, epic finishing, One Time Drop getting goodness.
Me and Doec were able to duo at Ellyll's, we took two orange guards and a windchaser all at the same time. I'm sure me and Ross would be able to handle it about the same way.
Well, since I'm such an uber tank I was taking villagers all by my lonesome, but there's no way I could take a guard solo.
Yes, Axe hit it on the head. Since these quests tend to be tedious, doing them in groups might lessen the boredom. Also, since most of these one-time-drops drop for everyone, we can make sure that the classes that can use a particular drop (such as the cleric helm from Saffron) each get one, or multiples if needed. I know, for instance, that Reinn and I both got the theurg bracer off of the named hill scrag in Snowdonia a while ago, and Kids (IIRC) was the beneficiary of both bracers.
Hey, it all helps, and it also lets us spend our DF seals on good stuff. :)
