Just wanted to voice my support for the Legion raids I've been on recently. They were both lead by Drasticle, and both went very smoothly. We successfully took down Legion with only a few mishaps, such as people falling through the floor.
Loot distribution was based on 100% quality items going to level 50s (40s if there were no 50s of that class present) and all other loot open to all. Some people may have had problems with it, but it seemed pretty fair to me. There were 32 drops last night, and all drops were accounted and randomed for at the end of each night. I managed to win a nice matter staff the first night, and a pretty sweet cloth helm that proc'd health regen on the 2nd night.
Overall, a well executed, fun, and exp giving raid. I'd be glad to see more Vengeance peeps in my group for the next raid!
I'm of the opinion that any loot rules, are fair loot rules, as long as you know and agree to it before you begin the raid. If someone leads a raid and sets the rule "Minstrels don't get any loot, even if the item is a flute with +5 instruments and +20 charisma," and I know this ahead of time, it's fair: I merely decide whether or not to participate.
I still don't think I'll be joining one of these raids though. Some wounds heal slowly.
Well I was on the second one with my cleric and had a lot of fun. There wasn't a guild group on it so I mixed it up with some others and got some good exp and came away with a set of bracers that are way better than what I was using. I am not sure about the rules as far as bidding on items after you have won an item already but I wasn't going to try even if it is accepted.
