I dunno how many of you guys read dragonlance, but Margaret Weis had confirmed that a production company had optioned dragonlance for an action film.

In answer to the questions on the board, here`s what I can tell you about the DL movie.
A production company has optioned Dragonlance for a live action, big-budget movie. According to what we hear, the people who run the company are long-time fans.
We were told by WoTC that we could make this announcement at Gen Con, which we did. We`re not allowed to say anything else for the moment.

The only problem is that they can't just go ahead and make a movie, theres a lot of financial stuff involved. LoTR was a success as a book and a film, etc, etc etc... but Dragonlance does not have the same literary standing as LoTR and therefore represents a far greater risk to a potential financier.
So this is still a big maybe, so don't get too excited yet...
I've read alot Weis/Hickman books, including the Dragonlance series. Can't wait for this one.

Hopefully it will do better than the D&D movie that was put out. Can anyone tell me the name of the Dorf they recruit? Nope because they never mentioned his name. Oh sigh.

Too cool. Dragonlance is where I got Mysh's name, BTW. It's actually supposed to be spelled Mishikal I believe, but I couldn't get it to go through. This is my own version of how I wanted it spelled....she is the goddess of healing. Fitting, huh?

I figured there would be 10000 wizards named raistlin, so i decided to make a female (big mistake) sorc name after Amberyl, Raistlin's soulmate who is one damn secksi ogre. (for those of you who dont read dragonlance, the ogre is the superior race of Kyrnn. They are uberly secksi!) You know how after Fistindantilus helped raistlin pass the test and in exchange took part of his life, that he sees everything as it dies and decays? Well when this chick walked into the inn, Raistlin was shocked because he saw this hot chick when he usually sees normal people dieing all the time.
A bunch of stuff happens, i'm not going to tell you the whole story.
Yea, so raist and amber had sex = O and had a child, who appears in a later book. Amberyl then dies cause she bore the child of a puny, unworthy human = P.
The book about raistlin's daughter had her and Tasselhoff (http://www.kencyclopedia.com) in it. I didn't finish reading it though, and I borrowed it from someone. I'll finish it someday.
