Happy Turkey Day to you and all yours :)
Save some punkin' pie for me and Mattee :)
Happy Turkey Day everybody!
happy thanksgiving all :)
It's been an interesting day for our family. I just returned from our annual gathering of the clan for a huge meal and some good conversation. However, this year's get-together was a little different than most because my grandfather passed away this morning. It was not entirely unexpected, as he's been in the hospital for some time and has been in generally poor health for months. Even though we were all obviously sad, we took the time to look back on all of the things that he did for his kids (my Mom and her three sisters), his grandkids (me and about a million others, hehe), his great-grandkids, and his wife. He was fortunate to live to be 87 years old, and he and my grandmother had recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. I guess you could say he was also fortunate to have been surrounded by his family for the last days of his life, since there was nothing more important to him than his family. Anyway, I don't want to bore you with anymore family info, but I just want to make sure that everyone remembers (especially on this holiday) that even in what seem to be dark times, there is still something for which we should be thankful. I hope you're all able to spend time today with the people you care about, and please don't forget to let them know that you do care about them.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Ross,
My deepest condolences for your loss. I'm glad to hear your grandfather had his family close to him at the end. Hopefully, being together made his passing easier for all of you.

OUCH Kirin = ( Anyways, Ross, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I too have gone through many family deaths around holiday times. But death is nothing to mourn over... The great tragedy of life is not that men perish, but that they cease to love. In time the world will cool and everything will die, but that is a long time off. The present is not less valuable because the future will be blank.
thanks, I appreciate the kind thoughts.
