Its been a few months now, and I haven't touched an online game (with the exception of a few hours of EQ at my friends house.) Sadly, I've found myself missing the mindless slaughter for hours on end, and the camraderie.
I've been taking a glance at Asheron's Call 2. It looks nice, though I can't say that it seems to offer much in the way of variety. From what I've heard, its just a fun monster killing spree. Anyone else play it? I'd love to hear your opinions.
My other option is of course to come back to DAoC. I'm considering buying the Shrouded Isles expansion and trying out the new races and classes. So how is that? I'm mainly looking for a solid PvE experience, fun quests, interesting monsters, the occasional loot. I'm still pretty burned out on the whole RvR stuff. Maybe if Albion ever starts having a significant chance.
If I did come back, i'm thinking of starting a new character on the Gaheris co-op server, just so i can play All the classes and do all the quests. The lack of RvR would be just fine with me, I can just go RvR with Malison.
Well, those are my thoughts, interested in seeing on who still plays, and if anyone plays on those servers/games.
I got Suikoden 3 and Wild Arms 3 for Christmas, not to mention a burned copy of Morrowind:Tribunal, so it may be a couple of months before I drag myself back online.
Hope everyone is well.
Welcome back and stop by Iseult and say hi!

Pesa: dude, if you need money, ill give you a bunch next time i see you... I have no use for money, so i usually give it out to broke tradeskillers.
On one hand, I love the idea that you can venture between realms and do the other realm's quests. But I wonder if that will get really old quick. The ability to play every class in the game is just neat. I sure wish they'd allow that on the normal servers. I have a feeling I'll miss the feel of RvR with my new character.
Then again, I can always log on my cabalist to dish out a bit of death (as i watch from face down as my dots tick away)
Right now, I'm seriously considering playing an enchanter, they have pretty good damage spells, and run speed. Plus, its not much of a stretch from a cabalist.
Reavers look interesting, but I'm not so sure they arent just a dark version of a paladin...do they share the paladins awful 1h damage?
Or I could play a mentalist, they have a pretty amazing versatility.
My resolve to finish my other games keeps growing thin as the days pass!
Reavers kinda suck. They can put out more damage with their lifetaps/aura twisting, but overall I was underwhelmed with them.
Animists should be nerfed pretty thoroughly with the LoS fix. Likewise with Necromancers (expectation is that these will now be completely unplayable).
Cabalists are actually pretty uber in rvr right now. So little CC, AoE rules the day. Lay down the ae dot then haul ass and count on paladins endchant and clerics heals to keep you moving. I'd venture to say cabalists are the best alb rvr cloth class at the moment.
Funny, I never expected to hear cabalist, best, rvr in the same sentence. Well, maybe I'll give him a shot again.
I don't think they'll nerf enchanters much. They will probably nerf their pets, which I wouldn't care about much. They have that horrible PBAOE to make up for it. I think assassins aren't done being nerfed though...
