Found this post on class balance: hybrids rule? haha...
---
Rogue Assassins are not uber at all. Healer/Mages, Mage/Assassins, and Fighter/Mages dominate. Since before build 3.5 it's been a Hybrids game. Pure Classes have an extremely difficult time vs a clever specced hybrid.
Mage/Assassins have a much Better Defense than a Rogue Assassin. Doesn't sound right but they do. Defense is VERY important. Confessors, Crusaders, Mage/Assassins, even Prelates in this build are deadly. Channelers kick butt but Healer/CHanneler are even more powerful cuz abilities stack.
Fury's are by far the Class I fear the most...
That's the core of the problems with MMORPGs, especially competitive ones. They will forever leave you stressing over the fact that your class can and will be nerfed into relative nothingness.
Unless of course you get rid of the "class" concept, move to skill based character development, then allow for changes to your skills throughout the course of your life.
Damn, why the hell am i not playing UO.
Oh yeah, I remember. Six months mining ore, chopping trees, and killing the same goblins over and over again is not fun.
