Vengeance

Last night was a blast in RvR. The beatsquad group was good too.  

There were two moments that stood out in my memory though.  

1.  We were coming back from rezzing Myshkal and Desa.  Welch the friar was along with the 3 of us. We were trying to make it back to HMG as quick as possible since hibs were sighted.  As I'm running towards the hillside, i see a bunch of mid npcs, the exiled hunters or some such.  

Well, I always target those guys, just because I often think they could be enemies.  While i was clicking off of one of the grey troll npcs, i saw "Kobold" on my cursor.  I didn't see the kobold, but i knew he was there.  i clicked a bunch more times in the general vicinity then started spamming pet attack. I finally see the pet command take, so i stopped, faced and qc a nearsight.  Good thing too, think he was a runie or a shaman, yellow con.  Trying to spy or just kill us with his uber camoflaugge, im not sure which.

The funny part was when Welch sent me a tell asking how i saw him. I just said "luck, i accidently targeted him"

The other really great memory was when we had about 10 or so hibs pinned in the keep tower of HMG. They were PBAOEing the entire alb force that decided to try to flush them out.  I stood outside, targetted the nearest one and spammed AOE Dot.  Was hoping the living albs downstairs would rush up and use this to their advantage, but i think they didnt get the picture for a few minutes.  In any event, I felled a few, and couldnt help at laugh at the firbolgs whoe kept allowing me to destory their poor PBAoE casters inside.

Was a great fun night, maybe tonight will be the same.  I'm glad so many Albs came out to help defend the frontier, it was a wonderful sight.

Man, I saw the word "exploits" and thought I was about to get some uber advice.  :)

Stop teasing me, Mal!  hehe, nice job on those two things though, esp. the AoE DoT thing.  Fight fire w/ fire, right?

HAHA that kobold thing was Awesome.. he had their color scheme too.. i was just runnin blindly till i saw Malis pet roll to him, i was like: "Mali this is not time to be playing with aggro" till i realzied it was a mid.. i still managed to jump in and steal the killspam tho..

I'm glad you guys came out there.  Guild groups are so much fun.  Last night was pretty good too, lots of deaths on the enemy side, and only one major wipe out while we were patrolling the mile gates.  

I had to go "huh?" at Glanonwyn's comment about that last battle taking too long.  It was an even fight 2 groups vs 2 groups, and our group only lost one or two people.  I couldn't have asked for much more.  And I spent the entire fight dotting and diseasing with a 65% nearsight on me.  That was funny. I bet they never expected to see a cabalist charging them.

The last battle, if we're thinking of the same one, DID take too long. Beelze was out of potions, mana, stones, etc etc. and so we had to slug it out... people weren't assisting well in our squad in that fight and I think that's what was the major issue.

Different battle, but probably same problem.  The one I was referring to was before you were online, I believe.

I tried using the MA last night, but found that most of the time I needed to switch to the guy running for me first.  One advantage i have is that my targets don't necessarily need to be the ones that everyone else is going after. My disease and dots are aoe, and my nearsight doesnt need to be cast on those tanks everyone is trying to take down.  

I am starting to use aoe a lot more, I think I must have hit about 40 targets or so last night.  I just wish I could see how much it was actually helping.  

And If i dont get it off on the tank thats rushing me, or get my pet on him, i'm usually assured he'll be chasing me for a long long time.

I'm still laughing over being nearsighted last night. Those mages gimps who complain about it to try and get it nerfed obviously have problems. It was annoying, but not hard to run up close enough to start casting.  It does suck in keep defense though, but how often do we do that? :)
