New Shoes. All archer classes will get to choose from a list of new shoe designs which we have added in order to make your experience more fun. These designs will include: Flip Flops, High heals, The Original Air Jordans, Birkenstocks, Ugg Boots, and Penny Loafers. The shoes will not have any stats or be spell craftable. This is where we spent most of our development resources.
Female Archers will now be allowed to wear makeup (Huntresses are highly encouraged to do so).
New Phrases for Missed Shots: We have determined that the reason Archers hate missing shots so much is because of the message informing of the miss. We thought we had fixed this with the new blade turn message but have decided to expand the list as follows: Not even freaking close, Missed again, You almost got him that time, your arrow was blocked but you have a nice grouping going on the shield, and At least you didnt fumble.
We are adding a Cha/Int buff within the ranger pathfinding line
Hunters will be able to summon a new pet called Odie. Odie will be of absolutely no use in battle but he will lick your face when you die.
We realized that the bow is the only primary ability that had no styles so we have decided to add the the following styles to the bow spec line:
20 Swish When you miss a player in PvP the arrow makes a really scary swish sound.
30 Called Shot Archers can predetermine what kind of miss message they would like before each shot.
40 Broad Side of a Barn The chance of successful archer attack on a keep door is increased by 5%.
50 King of Hearts Archers will have the ability to shoot themselves however normal miss fumble rates still apply.
We are also currently looking into new realm abilities to be revealed in patch 1.62 so stay tuned!"
hehe
Quick, stealthy scouts are modeled after the historical Welsh longbowmen first seen in the Isles circa 633 CE through the heyday of English longbowmen in the Hundred Years War. As such, they are very proficient with the English longbow and smaller hunting bows. They are also skilled in melee combat, though not able to stand toe-to-toe in the infantry line next to their more heavily armored shield mates.
When hunting solo, scouts often perform the duties of foresters, using stealth to get in good position to shoot their prey, and then their bow skills to severely wound it. If the arrows dont strike true, they are able to dispatch the wounded beast with their sword.
When hunting with a group, scouts serve as an advance reconnaisance, and bait for ambushes. After finding their prey and leading it back to the hunting party, scouts help in the fight either by standing back with the healers and casters and shooting arrows though the melee, or by entering melee with agile, directed blows from their sword. Very often they are assigned the duties of protecting the healers and casters should their prey turn from the main battle line and charge the supporting divisions.
In the wars, scouts use all these skills practiced in peacetime to perform as advanced scouts for the army. Their role is to locate the enemy while remaining undetected, accurately report back to their commanders the size, composition, command-and-control structures, and artillery (siege engines and magic) of the enemy, and cause what disruption they can. Many scouts group with infiltrators and minstrels to form stealthy scouting groups that hunt enemy stealth groups. They are expected to participate in large battles by reducing enemy numbers with massed archery, disrupting magical and mundane artillery, and defending Albion's support classes.

Oakleif has done a great job with reports in the past and continues to do so. Yet, he comes to post about upcoming fluff and hints at these changes that are going to be implemented and he's met by flames from babies needing their diapers changed...
I still believe what I heard about TL's awhile back. They were/are used by mythic as middlemen for the constant whines of the general player base. Basically they're there so mythic's payed employees don't have to listen to crap all the time.
