It was an experience.
I took my level 19 Infiltrator out to see what havok I could cause. I was joined by Liran and Niran, and later Areyou. I appreciate them having me in the group, and I apologize for dying so much :)
I learned quickly, 4 stealth isn't enough. I had debated on whether I should stop auto-training or not, and decided I could use those extra 2 stealth points more than I could use the 125 RP from the BG0.
I was spotted by casters within about 300 feet of them, enough time for them to nuke me to death. I know how all those scouts feel who are victims of see hidden. I ended up having to just Garrote my victims. Only, my miss rate was about 30%, so blue casters would run from me and live.
The albs were either real life newbies (ie not twinks) or had completely lost all sense. Several of them were trying to lead, and one guys advice was "stay at the pk" for 5 minutes or so. At one point I screamed over the chat group that this wasn't EMAIN and to stop acting like chickens.
The first 4 or 5 waves of attack had albs swimming towards the mid forces. Utter stupidity that resulted in wipeouts. When we decided to take the alb bridge, we did a lot better, but we still suffered from people hanging back and letting the rest die. The number of people screaming "REZ MEH" over chat was funny as hell. Of course there were only 2 clerics out the whole night, and the friar didn't seem to want to keep enough power (or stay out of melee long enough to gain some) to rez.
I was destroyed by bonedancers every time I tried to take on one. Insta Lifetaps for 80 pts are ridiculous at level 19. Spiritmasters were just as bad, their pets would kill me just as i had them down to the lst sliver.
I wont even go into enchanters.
Any attempts at taking the center keep will require a large force of albs. one to hold off the mids asault, and another to take the keep. Don't count on the exp from the medals anytime soon.
Oh yeah, there were at least 2 groups of mids there at all time, and about 2 of hibs. Alb usually had 2 to 3.
I need to level to 24 and spec stealth!

My old inf auto-trained stealth to 32 (I pl'd him) and I think the scenerio I worked out for him was 25 in his fourth line instead of 23. You should check the character builder and see if those extra points are going to help your build at all. You can type in the exact number of extra points up at the top. At level 32 I had 35 extra points from autotrains, at 48 I think you get 77 points (not many auto-train to 48 though without pl).
Going off the character builder, my lvl 50 template was
staff 39, enhance 49, rejuv 18, parry 9, with like 6 pts wasted.
Is it possible to get higher than this using auto training?
Here's what i found, if anyone else was wondering:
First off, there are two types of respec:
1. The full respec which drops all of your skills to 1, except for those skills that you would normally autotrain: your auto-train skills are set to 25% of your character level. This respec was awarded to any player as a one time gift to all players in existence at the time of the 1.52 patch, and was valid either until used, or until gaining two levels (I think there were some strange caveats relating to if you were within two levels of hitting 20 or 40).
2. The single skill respec which drops one of your skills to 1, except for those skills that you would normally autotrain: your auto-train skill will get set to 25% of your character level. This respec is granted to every player upon attaining level 20 and 40. However, it must be used prior to attaining level's 21 and 41 repectively.
Secondly, the respec doesn't work by resetting your skills to 1, and then "granting" you autotrain points. Rather, it works similar to an "untrain" button that will not allow you to go below your autotrain level. So if you are level 40 and have 40 in an autotrain skill, you will get 40+39+...+12+11 points back and your skill will thus be back to 10 (25% of your level). You can then do what you wish with the points, including putting them back in the skill.
What this means is that if you did not autotrain from the get go, you will not get the benefit of autotrain points. However, if you respec and then gain 4 more levels without having put a point back into the skill, an autotrain will be awarded to you.
In short, the respec neither takes away, nor grants anyone any autotrain skill points. It does however open the possiblitiy to earn autotrain skill points at a later date.
