lol... I noticed they released pricing there though, $15 a month wtf?? They think they can stick it to the common man.
I remember reading, years ago, that the people at OSI greatly underestimated the price people were willing to pay for a monthly subscription. Charging $9.99 for UO kind of set the price for mmorpgs for many years to follow. I kind of consider myself lucky.
To me, even $20 a month is a pretty cheap form of entertainment when you think about how many hours you play and compare it to going to the movies or going to a bar for beers or having dinner at a restaraunt. I play a lot of golf and at it's cheapest, it's $35 at a halfway decent course for about 4-5 hours of fun.
It's starts getting expensive though, when you add extra accounts.
If you asked me a year ago, I prolly would have said I was quitting DAoC as soon as SWG came out. But now after all the crap I've heard about it (only 1 char per server per account, lots of basic stuff getting pushed into future expansions, charging $3 a month more than any other MMORPG) it sounds like its mostly a cash cow for sony and lucasarts.
I've heard from a friend that it's unstable, buggy, there's a serious lack of content and it's kind of boring. I've also heard there's no Star Wars 'feel' to it.
I'm probably going to play for the first free month anyway. =)
