LB has been giving us a rundown of war online from his beta test account. Sounds promising so far. Hopefully we'll see you when it all gets started.
not really
Back then, I liked keeping a few tabs on old imperial guard members. And occasionally CeA while I was with them. But they got a bit too big to keep complete track of especially when they jumped to hib--I didn't keep spreadsheets like Aramann. :p
:D

Heh. We'll have to wait for Kid to chime in again to see if I'm actually right though..Back then, I liked keeping a few tabs on old imperial guard members. And occasionally CeA while I was with them. But they got a bit too big to keep complete track of especially when they jumped to hib--I didn't keep spreadsheets like Aramann. :p
I still keep my spreadsheets! And I still keep track of all my old friends.
How is Vengeance doing and what have you all been up too? We have been doing a lot of Tier 6 content in WoW and still pushing pretty hard.
Any interest in Warhammer online and any tentative plans? I am awaiting to hear more detailed info, but I was curious as to what you all are talking about. I would love to meet up with you all again. Oh, and no, I no longer have the playtime to do the entire massive alliance thing, I can barely keep up with my guild.
We're looking at Warhammer, yeah. We've been co-coordinating with some other folks to try and get on the same server and same side. It would be awesome to get some of the old guys together.
We did play WoW for a bit. Did some raiding up till the end of BWL pre-BC, but after BC came out we didn't really do any raiding. I don't think anyone is left playing tho. We're mainly holding out for WH.
Were you guys thinking of playing good or evil? I think we're tending more towards evil (we can't help it, with people like Ross around)
:)
Hey Araman, good to hear from you. I'm not one of the fortunate sons who managed to weasel into the Warhammer beta, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Sounds like there will be quite a group of people signing up for that one. I've been playing around with Age of Conan just a little bit, but like Kirin said I too gave up WoW quite a while ago. I'm not sure I'll even pick up the next expansion if that's coming out around the same time as Warhammer.
Hopefully we can all manage to be on the same side again, that would be great!

I look forward to grouping with CeA again. It's one of the best guilds out there.
Nice to hear from you again. A few of us managed to get WH beta, including me (through Zaius). It's fun. It's kind of a cross between wow (accessible questing, no xp loss on death, user-friendly features) with daoc-style pvp (squad based combat with character builds that complement one another).
There are a lot of refinements from lessons learned in daoc - stealth is extremely limited, can only stealth for 30 seconds at a time; healing is powerful enough to make battles last a while; crowd control is very limited. There are instanced battlegrounds, but there's also meaningful world-based pvp with objectives. There are public quests where anybody who wanders into the PQ zone can participate meaningfully with whoever is there.
Hope to see you guys there - as we get closer to launch, let's coordinate a side and a server so we can play together.
