I started a guild called Vengeance of Iseault ( Vengeance was already taken). At this stage anyone can make a guild with just themselves in it. I have recruited 2 daoc players into it so far...Morfeus who didnt play on Isealt and Sirpo who did. Yep, that is Sirperro playing in the beta. Unlike other games we all know and love (and get really frustrated with) all the quests seem to work so far. I have been trying to do them all as a good beta tester ( they also make leveling much faster) to see if they are working. Getting to level 10 is real easy and can be done in a day or 2, it slows down a lot after that.
If you have any specific questions, post them and I will answer as best i can. If you have any race/class you want me to try, let me know and i will try them out so you can have a little insight into them.
jk..
im really interested in the rangers, any details you can give us about them?
Is there any instanced content? Dungeons for example?
Can the priest solo reasonably well? Are rogues over the top? How does stealth/invis work?
There are a few dungeons, none of which are very extensive. There may be more that i havent gotten into yet or bigger ones designed for higher levels....the level cap is 30 at the moment too.
The priest soloes very well, actually better than the rogue did. The rogue is a surprisingly good tank..has dual wield at level 10, stealth comes earlier and isnt quite as good as stealth in daoc. has a backstab style that isnt as deadly as assassin types in daoc, in fact it is almost better to use other styles and not be in stealth....however, i only have backstab 1 so far and have sinister strike 2 and eviserate 2 which do more damage. backstab 2 may be good enough that i would use it more than i do now.
I have been in a group with the just the rogue and a priest and with the priest casting shield on me, the rogue just cuts through the mobs. far more effectively than strahan ever did.
