I was looking foward to hopefully Matt Uleman doing some tracks for WoW, but unfortunatly he is not. Instead, Jason Hayes is doing it, who isn't bad at all, but just doesn't have the MU touch. I've already got quite a few samples from WoW already

MU did music for Diablo right?
yea, diablo 2 was his greatest music
I always thought it'd be a great idea to either stream radio stations or have new downloadable music every couple weeks in mmorpgs.
With DAoC, I think I had the ambient music turned on for only about a month before I got sick of hearing it. I still have the castle sauvage theme stuck in my head.
That would be a good idea. Music is content, too.
I saw EQ 2 had NPCs that speak. That would annoy the hell out of me. I don't understand why they thought that would be a good idea.
I think that the speaking NPCs would be a good thing if the audio file was location based...like it would fade out as you moved away. I think it would be a good idea to be able to hear someone's INC macro instead of having to read it and still operate all game controls...This being built-in vs. using team speak or some such.
Yeah, that would be cool. Location based I mean.
unfourtunately if you could hear someone yelling inc youcould also hear someone yelling: eat me you noobass m&*$&((%$(%$/(*$&/).. and that could cause complications
Perhaps if there were pre-built sound emotes that could be chained for the desired effect? That way no kids being dicks maybe? Then again, I'm sure some creative juvenile would find a way to fuck things up.
Kids will always be dicks, Nari. Just look at Amber and LB. =)
Pre-made emotes would work, as long as it had some customizability.
