Can't remember what I got on the PSAT other than I could have qualified to be a national hispanic scholar but I'm white.
I scored in the 99th percentile on that one somehow, and the State of Michigan awarded me some sort of merit scholarship for like 3k or something like that, which at the time was a pretty good chunk of my tuition. Then I got a letter in the mail stating that because of my parents' income, they had 'adjusted' my award... to $0. The kicker to all of this is that my mom at the time was a Home Engineer (i.e. stayed at home) and my dad was a deputy sheriff. Everyone knows cops bring home huge $, right? WTF?!?
That still grinds my ass when I think about it.
It is if you want to talk about San Diego sports.
I got a 720 verbal 600 math...yeah math sucked. I was bad at it, and they never explained to me that you could figure out the mass of a galaxy using it. It was always trains and stuff.
So does this mean you guys are smarter than me? This does not make me happy. I'm not younger either...I can only hope I'm better looking. ;-)
Ross: Don't make me mention Lions and Tigers and Pistons, oh my!
Go Lakers!

Now why did dallas trade their first round pick to buffalo when they could have had any RB in the draft? The guy they picked in 2nd round probably isn't any better than the RB they have now.
sports: OMFG die IRL Canadiens. cant believe the bruins managed F up a 3 game to 1 lead...bostons sports = dissapointment time and again
/pwn
First, I'm glad you had the good sense not to lump the Red Wings in here. I'm just hoping for a Wings-Leafs Stanley Cup Finals series, that would rule.
Pistons: 2nd best record in Eastern Conference (best after getting Rasheed Wallace, I believe), up 3-1 in 1st round playoffs vs. Milwaukee, best defensive team in the league. Defense wins championships, especially if Shaq is hurt and Kobe goes to jail.
Tigers: Leading the league in runs scored, tied for 4th best record in AL at 11-8 (leader is 12-6), plus how bad can a team be w/ a catcher named Pudge and a pitcher named Ugueth. Sounds like a Mid gank group.
Lions: Okay, this isn't saying much, but they had the best performance of any team in the NFL draft. BF'd Cleveland into giving up a 2nd round pick to move up ONE SPOT (traded 1st rd picks w/ Lions) when the Lions knew they wouldn't take the player they wanted. Traded extra 2nd round pick +5th rounder for KC's 1st round pick to get Kevin Jones, who many said was the best running back in the draft. Also got their probable starting outside linebacker in the second round w/ their own pick. Signed one of the league's best OL's (Damien Woody) away from the Pats, and signed the Jags' #1 CB to be their #2. Last year's star receiver is back from injury, so their two wideouts will run 4.2 and 4.3 second 40's (respectively), plus they signed Tai Streets and still have Az Hakim on the bench. They have arguably the best D line in the NFL as a unit, and in addition to the two CB's mentioned they signed Brock Marion to play safety.
I have to give the Chargers some credit, they have LaDainian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers (I think he's gonna be great), but they need 20 other guys. The Padres have a nice new park. I think if you put the two teams together (David Wells could probably play left tackle on most NFL teams, lol), you'd have something. Otherwise you just have to fall back on your perfect weather, zillions of restaurants, beaches, hot chicks, and proximity to Tijuana, LA, and Vegas.
F&@% Detroit, do you have an extra room?
The Chargers could use some o-linemen to help out LT, but in spite of their crappy line he had a great season last year. That and some linebackers would be a good start. Glad they picked up Rivers. I hope Manning turns into another Ryan Leaf. I'm still bitter about that. ><

You got me there, what can I say to that? =)
they play like 100 games
They had the right idea by getting rid of 4 of there starting offensive (and I do mean offensive, hehe) linemen, but unfortunately the one they should have kept (Kelvin Garmon) they lost. As for linebackers, the got Randall Godfrey, I think, who's not too bad, but any team that cuts Junior Seau and then is short of decent linebackers could probably use a brain transplant. Same goes for Rodney Harrison, ffs. If Kevin Dyson is healthy this year, he might really help them out though.
Fkrs still beat my Lions last year though, at Detroit no less. How the hell do the Lions lose to the Chargers, but then beat Green Bay and the Rams?
