To get invited to Vengeance, a person must be sponsored by a permanent member who has been in the guild for three months or more. If you wish to sponsor a new member, speak with an officer and let them know you want to sponsor this person.
The officer will speak with the recruit and discuss it with the other officers. Any other Vengeance members who have experience with the recruit may be consulted. We usually speak with the member's old guild officers. At least two officers must agree to the invitation before proceeding.
At this stage, we often decide we know too little about the recruit and ask them to spend more time with us. This can be anything in the game... 5-man instance runs are the most common.
If the officers agree, the member will be invited. The first 2-4 weeks of membership is on a trial basis: if we don't feel like it's working out, the member can be removed by any officer. We usually discuss these situations at length before taking action, but at the trial stage it isn't required. The trial period is over once the officers feel that the recruit will fit in well with our guild goals and values.
Before you sponsor a new recruit, don't think about how much you like this person. Think about how well they would fit with Vengeance. I've known some great people, in this game and games past, to whom I'd never extend invitations.
Some people don't like our rules: be nice, no foul language in guild chat, no characters in other guilds. We invite players, not characters, and some people don't understand that or find it too restrictive on their playtime.
If you have any questions, ask them here or catch me in game.
Of course, I got shouted down by all the guys in the guild cybering with Ross in his blatant attempt to garner votes.
I think Tydd was jealous that that guy tried to marry me in-game...
seriously though, that was just a tad strange. I think initially I just decided that if I had to look at a toon's ass for hours on end, it may as well be a female toon (because those squared-off, plate-covered Camelot toons were so hawt). Later on it did morph into some serious comedy. It was insane how many people just randomly offered to "help" me with stuff. I never went around saying I was a chick or anything, but once it started to become hilarious I wasn't exactly carrying a "I'm a d00d!" sign either, hehe.
Holy crap O_o
Hehe
