hey gang, still looking for the next game that'll bring us all back together again and won't let us down.. in the meantime i've been playing this half-life 2 mod (http://www.age-of-chivalry.com) -- it's a fun melee-focused medieval mod, you guys should check it out. It's first-person and class-based. I'd love to find another MMO game like DAoC that's more skilltree spec friendly, but i don't really have the time or money for those these days. It sounds like you guys are pretty committed to AION right now, but if you have half-life 2 plz do holler. I play under the name Blazedog on the FF=off servers. ciao
btdubbs they're coming out with an update that'll add a siege engineer class & will significantly alter gameplay, objectives, etc.
sounds interesting, i'll check it out... could make it worthwhile to reinstall HL2. Any idea if that works w/ Steam-based HL2?

Sounds fun, I'll give this a shot. I haven't played HL2 in a year, good excuse to fire it up.
I tried this last night, pretty fun. 1st person sword combat takes a little getting used to, as does figuring out how much to lead someone with a longbow or javelin. The decapitations are great though.
