I came home at lunch to start the big download (yeah, dial-up weenie). Then before I log on to play, I read about an equipment exploit on the boards involving DF, no details given. Now I try to log on and read that the game is being updated, and camelotherald.com won't load...
Did Mythic screw up royally?
Yeah. They let people buy DF equipment for silver, instead of diamond seals. People were able to buy huge amounts of the stuff, and in some cases sold it back for huge profits. Reports of one man getting over 10 mithril pieces out of it.
They have officially stated on IGN (Sanya post) that there will be no rollback, retribution, or fix for the issue. People just got some free stuff. kthx drive through.
too bad i missed it, i've been waiting for an opportunity like that = P
Wow!! Major screw up on their part. Sucks that I couldn't get some cool stuff for cheap. Oh well, sigh...
