1.50c Pendragon testers are reporting that healchant now breaks mezz. All you healer sons of bitches better enjoy these last few days before the paladins come roaring back to break your mezz and fight with our brothers and sisters for Albion glory.
Oh, the troll blood will flow green and free in the streets, healcups shining like golden sunshine on paradisical beaches. Yes. Yes. The balance of power may, just possibly, shift in our favor.
My plan for total world domination edges closer to reality... shh! What's that? Do I hear... yes! It's a whole generation of 300k+ RP whiners rerolling Zerkers! bwahahahaha!
I leave for a short time and ya'll forget to make Axe take his medication. Oh sigh.
Just wanted to bump this. I'm elated. Woo woo! A reason to RvR!
Well it is just that.... To be perfectly honest....
We just find Axecleaver Much more entertaining without his medication. I mean watching someone zoned out drooling for hours is only entertaining for so long. Now a Paladin pushed to the edge ready to go postal on all mez users.. NOW that is entertainment!! :P
Just my humble opinion... :P
Yep. If this goes live, it's gonna be good. I'm spending all my game time getting the lot of you levelled up so I've got some people to go guild RvR with.
The best part is they won't be able to tell the difference between armsmen and paladin until we start chanting. Then it'll be too late! Bwahaha!
It's not the end all and be all... it's not going to fix our damage problems or anything, and mid tanks will still ownz0rs us in a straight up fight. But at least we can stop being lawn gnomes in every fight. I'm reinvigorated to play my paladin now.
One problem chief...they WILL be able to tell the difference between a paladin and an armsman...
Goldenboy.
Yup, I think the suit may have to go if you want to 'stealth' as an armsman. Or, buy 25s worth of enamel for every tank in the realm.
You pay 25s to deck yourself out in that Light Vom...err, I mean Orange plate?
hehehe
methinks you've been ripped off by ye olde Dyemasters.
:-)
lol, doesnt light orange only cost like 1s?
Whatever the cost, it's how -I- spot him in a crowd, should work for Echoic and Armored and Noureen too. : )
Let's see...1000 active Albs, 20% of which wear plate (est.), that's 200...times 1s per piece, times 6 pieces per set...12 gold to outfit all of Albion to match. Not too bad.
At 25s per piece, we're now talking 300 gold. Hope LB is right about the cost.
whoa.. hmmm im not sure if im gettin this straight.. the herald says: - Heals will now "heal" mez, even when the person being healed is at full health
are pally heal chants active when we're mezzed? im not sure, but i dont think so.. this means that basically any healing class thats not mezzed is able to break mezz.. Pallies will now have to make sure theyre not too front line, they cant heal anyone while theyre mezzed
Besides that it sounds freakin awesome.. what i like bout it is that it has its limits.. its not like 1 group is going to be unmezzable cause they have a pally chanting heal.. Also this is going to give added value to group instats from clerics and the future pally one.. im dissapointed not to eb around while this is going on!!! :PPPP..
You've got it right. 1s per pot of light orange. And no, pallie heal doesn't fire if we're mezzed or stunned. So it's not nearly as cataclysmic as the healer whiners would have you believe.
WOOT!
/em dances with Axecleaver
Yes, the healers are certainly whining on this one. I think they're sorely mistaken if they think mez will no longer be an extremely useful RvR tool. Now it just has a defense. I mean, c'mon, first there has to be a pally in the party (I usually have that one covered, gratefully), AND the pally can't be one of the ones mezzed. Puh-leeze. Now they can't wipe out groups 3x their size as easy. They might actually have to...battle! OMG!
LOL!!
The real test wil be with the newest change. Healers get a baseline group heal. Hibs got shafted... no baseline group heal for them. It's a specline spell, and should have been for healers, too.
Now if the healers quit their bitching, we can have some straight up fights. Which we'll still probably be in trouble with, due to left axe styles getting bumped up (DOUBLED??) and their tanks generally having more str and con. BUT, with the respec, a lot of thrust and crush is coming, and they won't enjoy those 15% bonuses against slash.
Either way, the playing field got a lot more level.
hmm i cant wait to get back out there and start rvrin again.. so much is gonna have changed.. Wow hibbies dont get a group heal line? that suxors.. but well, i can tell you for sure that the group heal, although it breaks mez has an extremely high mana cost, so you wont find too many clerics using it to break mez..
Im glad that they finally gave pallies something to brag about.. this is going ot make us alot more tactical than before.. Let me know how it works out when this goes live Axe, i wanna see what you think..
BTW in case your interested Axe, i checked out catacombs and came up with the following points scheme:
50 thrust, 48 chants, 8 parry, 31 shield 0 points left
This is gonna let me cash in on that highest AF chant, which ive decided is a good idea.. it leaves you with enough shield to block well and enough parry to parry a couple of times a fight.. not sure how itll work, but well see.. after doing advisors with a few ppl and testing AF chant, ive decided that its worth it to spend the 2 EXPENSIVE, yet useful points on that last chant.
That's an interesting template, I think that's a good one. I'm planning to first take all my points out of slash and throw em in Crush, then try life as a 2h crush player. When I get frustrated with that, I'll probably take all my points out of 2h and put them in shield.
I already have 8 shield, 18 parry, so I can't really do much about those if I want to have slash and 2h eliminated.
So did anyone see today's grab bag? Seems that pallies don't have ANY chance of breaking mez anymore. Let's hear it for whiny healers!!!
Yeah, just read that one:
Q: Will my chant/pulse/regen break mez when 1.50 goes live?
A: Only heals, from one of the healing classes, will break mez in the upcoming patch. The various pulsing chanting or regen spells do not break mez.
So much for that. Bummer, Song of Healing might have finally had a use. And only Hibs don't have a base group heal? Guessing that will change.
My question is whether my cabalist life transfer will break mez... I'm not a "healer", but it is a heal-type spell...
I'm guessing that cab heals will break mezz. But who knows til it's tested.
The paladin team lead said that paladin healchant does, in fact, break the mezz, and that the herald note is wrong. Certainly would not be the first time. There is no checking to ensure that anything there remotely approaches the truth... which is annoying.
I've heard that cab heals won't break mez, nor will shaman's Frigg heals. The game doesn't really consider either a 'heal' per se; neither type gives xp when you heal someone PvE outside of your group like cleric heals do. Or so I've heard.
goddamit.. theyre gonna slash it before it goes live, we should know that already..
/em sobs quietly
I certainly hope that a few things can break mezz. I hate standing there jumping up and down in frustration waiting for some huge ass troll to come smack me twice, maybe and kill me. I want payback!!!!!
Latest news is that cabalist heals don't break mezz. The paladin team lead said as late as last Friday that palain healchant WILL break mezz, despite what the Herald says. We shall see.
Well, they yanked all the heals breaking mezz. Back to business as usual. Pretty sure I'm done with my paladin for a while. Guess I'll level up little axe and play in the battle grounds.
Real blanking nice. Healers whine, so the ability to break mez with any type of heal is removed. But oh, sorry healers, keep this new group heal line, because you suck so much. Yeah right.
Sigh...
